This exceptionally beautiful suffragette pendant from around 1900 is an exquisite example of the

Crafted from 15 carat yellow gold, it features a masterfully openwork, floral-inspired composition,

typical of Art Nouveau - bold, feminine and filled with symbolic meaning.

A bright green peridot in a rectangular facet cut shines in the center of the pendant.

This gemstone stands for freedom, self-confidence and benevolence - virtues

virtues that are closely associated with the suffragette movement, the campaigners for women's suffrage.

The peridot is surrounded by sparkling rubies in vibrant pink, which symbolize passion, courage and determination,

The delicately curved gold lines are richly set with fine seed pearls,

This combination of green, white and purple was deliberately chosen - it was
