- Open text field 1: Antique cameo yellow gold
Goddesses of antiquity were popular motifs for 19th century gem cutters.
Carved out of a shell by a master craftsman, we see a classical bust of a lady in side profile.
Each individual lock of the lady's hair has been painstakingly carved by hand in great detail.
The incredibly beautiful setting in yellow gold nestles lovingly around the cameo, studded with small pearls.
The gold setting is designed like a pearl bar with alternating freshwater pearls and stylized gold pearls.
A decorative lily, flanked by two acanthus leaves, crowns the transition to the loop.
The antique and beautiful cameo is of very high quality and carved by hand under a magnifying glass.
The shell cameo is wonderfully preserved and radiates exclusivity.
The antique cameo can be worn on a pearl necklace or on a long chain,
in summer with a linen dress/blouse or in winter on a coarse knitted sweater.
Any outfit can be styled perfectly with such a piece of jewelry.
The antique cameo can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch.
There is a framed glass on the back. It was also worn as a medallion in the past.
This piece of jewelry therefore combines a pendant, a brooch and a locket.
The safety clasp with ball hook for the brooch, which was added later, means that the medallion cannot be opened.
This is a wonderful piece of jewelry from the Biedermeier period around 1830/40.
The pearl necklace is included in the price.
