The name emerald comes from the Greek "smaragdos".

It means "green stone" In ancient times, not only the emerald, but several, perhaps all green gemstones known at the time, were called by this name.

The emerald is considered the noblest of the so-called beryl group.

Its green color is so incomparable that this hue is referred to as "emerald green".

This antique masterpiece is of the highest quality and dates from around 1880/1890.

It is an exceptional  silver or goldsmith's work from the late 19th century.

The large pendant is reminiscent of a heart shape and features many intertwined tendrils and flowers in the Art Nouveau style, set with numerous gemstones.

The very rare pendant is crafted in high-quality 18-karat yellow gold on the back and can also be worn as a brooch.

The front is platinum-plated. This gem is set with seven green emeralds

Emeralds, two tourmalines, a total of 107 diamonds and surrounded by numerous pearls.

The matching chain is made of solid silver, fitted with a spring ring and was probably added later.
