This is how the small and antique gold photo locket shown here was created around 1880/90. 

Heart-shaped medallions are extremely  popular and rare. 

One side features pink rubies and small rose diamonds.

If you want something even simpler, the back of the antique locket is smoothly polished and can also be worn on both sides.

It is romantically crafted in a heart shape in 14-karat yellow gold and there is space for two photos on the inside.

This antique locket is of the highest quality and dates from the second half of the 19th century

The matching chain, which was added later, is modern and gold-plated.
