The years around 1900 became the ideal of the first decade of the 20th century.

Art Nouveau enriched the world and the decorative arts with new forms and never-before-seen decorative and floral elements and clearly set itself apart from the historicizing forms of the 19th century.

Art Nouveau is embodied particularly well in this pendant in the form of a stylized heart. 

The shape of the pendant is heart-shaped with delicate floral elements set  with fine freshwater pearls.

The symbolized heart is repeated with a stylized miniature heart in the lower section of the pendant.

This rare and antique pendant dates from the Art Nouveau period around 1900/10.

The necklace is of the highest quality thanks to the exquisite materials used. 

The pendant is made of 9 carat yellow gold, the surface is set with small, numerous, shimmering white freshwater pearls and the chain is also made of 9 carat yellow gold, fitted with a spring ring.

The antique pendant can also be worn as a brooch, see reverse.

 The radiant pendant is wonderfully preserved.
