Silver and fine diamonds combine to create this fantastic piece of jewelry.
It is an antique larger cross and is crafted in yellow gold, the front is silver. This is very typical for this early period.
The gemstones are rose-cut and set in a silver setting.
The brilliance of the diamonds is much softer than that of the modern ones and they shimmer velvety in the light.
In the center of the cross is a large old-cut diamond that is reminiscent of an opening rose.
The ends of the cross are each finished with stylized bud-like elements.
The back of the antique cross is finely decorated, which is also an indication of an early piece from this period.
The Empire cross can be dated to the end of the 18th or early 19th century.
It can be worn beautifully on a silver chain or on a black velvet ribbon.
